イスラエル首相府は Xを通じて、レバノンとの交渉の一環として、ベンヤミン・ネタニヤフ首相が、1980年代半ばにテロ組織に拉致・殺害されたレバノンのユダヤ人共同体指導者らの遺体を捜索し、帰還させる取り組みを進めるよう指示したと発表した。
また、これを踏まえ、レバノン南部のイスラエル軍支配地域で拘束されていたレバノン人5人を解放することが決定された。
尋問により、5人はいずれもテロ組織の構成員ではない民間人で、テロ活動に関与しておらず、イスラエルで拘束を継続する理由がないことが明らかになったという。
